Instructions for authors
HOW TO SUBMIT & FULL PAPER FORMAT
Prospective authors are invited to submit the full papers no later than April 30th, 2025, using EasyChair platform. The full paper have to be formatted according to full paper format below and should be between a minimum of 8 pages and a maximum of 15 pages, including all (i.e., abstract, figures, tables, notes, and references).
How to submit using EasyChair platform:
update previously submitted information regarding authorship, abstract, title, keywords, and primary and secondary topics if modified.
upload the full paper (mandatory) in both Word and PDF formats. To ensure a double-blind peer review, the PDF must be anonymised by removing author names and affiliations.
Specify the author's publishing preferences: if they wish 1) to not publish or 2) to publish the paper in the conference proceedings 3) or be considered for selection in a special issue and indicate their preferred special issue.
The authors can update the version of their paper before the submission deadline.
The submitted paper will be submitted to the double-blind peer review process. Also, the review process will be managed through Easy Chair platform.
There is a possibility that reviewers may request relevant changes and, therefore, issue a conditional assessment requiring the author to upload the modified version of the paper, which the reviewer will analyze again before issuing the final evaluation. In this case, the author must carry out this revision within the review period.
After reviewing, the accepted papers will be published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Civil Engineering book series. Each paper will be reviewed by at least two experts in the relevant field, ensuring the publication of only high-quality papers. Only contributions with at least one registered author and that are presented at the conference will be eligible for publication.
Each paper must be original and unpublished work, not submitted for publication elsewhere (copyright problems fall entirely under the authors' responsibility).
SPECIAL ISSUES
At the end of the conference, the best papers will be selected for publication in the special issues of the journals Infrastructures, European Transport and TeMA. Papers will be evaluated for each special issue based on the authors' preferences indicated during submission, as well as the assessment of reviewers and the conference committee.
Allert note: Only one publication will be possible, either in the conference proceedings or in a special issue. Moreover, the papers selected for special issues will follow different rules than the publication of conference proceedings and may vary from one journal to another, requiring different formats and additional review processes. Therefore, the selection of papers for special issues does not guarantee journal publication.
